This topic sort of ties into a couple of the others, such as the parties one, and the food one.

Have you ever been sitting somewhere and have someone walk by, or you walk by someone, and all you smell is the overwhelming odor of the perfume / cologne they are wearing? It’s the same thing with people out in public, but that’s an entry for another blog…

Have you ever been in your building somewhere, and someone… burns their popcorn. Or cooks their lunch and it is especially smelly, like… fish. You just can’t get away from it. Sometimes it is limited to the general area of a break room, but, not always.

In an office setting, there really is nothing you can do about it. While working from home during the pandemic, I never had to worry about these things, except for the times when my wife started preparing dinner a little early, or she made tuna fish like she usually does on Fridays. But I know what those meals are, and the smells aren’t so bad. Plus the tuna is put into the fridge a right after it is made.

Most of these are rather unpleasant, though sometimes they are nice, like a bouquet of flowers. That’s about the only one I can think of, though. But this is certainly one thing I won’t miss, the unpleasant odors.
